MandacaRio is more than a band — it's a movement that celebrates Brazilian identity, ancestry, and street culture. Blending Afro-Brazilian rhythms with contemporary urban energy, the project draws from artists like BaianaSystem, Braza, Lamparina, Nação Zumbi, and Francisco, el Hombre, placing itself within a rich constellation of modern Brazilian music.
Rooted in Rio de Janeiro, MandacaRio connects tradition and modernity, turning axé, afrobeat, maracatu, Latin grooves, rock elements, and contemporary MPB into its own hybrid musical language.
With singles, videos, visualisers, and an 11-track album already released, the project transforms everyday spaces into vibrant stages — celebrating culture, fostering belonging, and using music as movement, resistance, and identity.
